German kitchens & Revo

Why choose a German kitchen?

German kitchens are renowned for precision engineering, robust construction, and attention to detail — a step up from many mass-market UK ranges in how they feel and how long they last. At Revo we supply premium German kitchen ranges based out of our Harrogate showroom, with nationwide delivery. Key reasons customers choose German design:

  • Build quality — tighter tolerances on cabinets, drawers, and hinges so units stay square and reliable over decades.
  • Materials — dense, ultra-compressed board construction for sturdier fixing and a more solid feel than typical melamine chipboard.
  • Functionality — advanced storage (soft-close drawers, pull-outs, corner solutions) designed for everyday use, not optional extras.
  • Hardware — premium Blum and Hettich fittings for quiet, smooth operation and better load tolerance.

Are your kitchens flat pack or fully rigid?

None of our German kitchen ranges are flat pack. Every cabinet is fully rigid: glued and dowelled construction from the factory, built to the standards you would expect from a premium German manufacturer.

Units arrive on site as fully built-up carcasses with the door already fitted — your installer is not assembling flat-pack boxes on site. That makes for a sturdier kitchen, faster fitting, and a more solid feel once installed.

Pricing & comparisons

How much does a German kitchen cost?

Indicative cabinetry prices at Revo Kitchens start from around £3,080 inc. VAT for a small Mercury kitchen and rise with layout size and range (see our kitchen ranges).

As a broad guide for complete projects: many medium to large kitchens with quartz worktops and luxury appliances are often around £15,000–£25,000 inc. VAT; extremely large kitchens with extensive cabinetry, premium worktops, and high-end appliances can reach around £35,000. Every layout is different — these are typical ranges, not fixed prices.

Worktops, appliances, and installation are priced separately. Use our kitchen cost calculator for an instant estimate, or book a consultation for a detailed quote.

What affects the price shown in the kitchen cost calculator?

The kitchen cost calculator shows indicative cabinetry prices inc. VAT based on kitchen layout size (Small to Extra Large) and range (Mercury through Belmont).

Optional worktops (laminate or quartz) and appliance packages are added separately. Final quotes may vary with design detail, delivery, and installation — book a free consultation for a tailored quote.

Can you price my kitchen against another supplier's design or plans?

Yes — many customers come to us with plans or a design from another showroom, kitchen retailer, or designer. Share your drawings, room sizes, appliance positions, and any competitor quote you are happy to disclose, and we can usually model the same layout in a Revo kitchen range for a like-for-like comparison.

Ways to get a comparison quote:

How do Revo Kitchens prices compare to other German kitchen suppliers?

For a similar layout and specification, Revo is often priced below other UK suppliers of German kitchens — without compromising on the quality of cabinetry and hardware you would expect from a premium German range.

How much you save depends on kitchen size, door style, internal fittings, and worktop choice. Start with our kitchen cost calculator, or bring a written quote from another German kitchen company to a free design consultation for a fair like-for-like comparison.

How do your prices compare to Wren, Howdens, Magnet, or Wickes?

Every project is different, but as a broad guide: for a comparable overall kitchen (cabinetry, worktops, and appliances), Revo is often very similar in price to national retailers such as Wren, Howdens, Magnet, and Wickes.

You are typically getting a more premium German kitchen product, with cabinetry quality and detailing closer to specialist European brands than to mass-market flat-pack ranges.

If you already have a quote from another retailer, bring it to a free design consultation and we can explain what is included on each side. You can also check cabinetry costs with our kitchen cost calculator before your visit.

Do your prices include VAT?

Yes. Prices shown on our website, in the kitchen cost calculator, and on customer quotes are inclusive of VAT (20%), unless we tell you otherwise in writing.

If you need a net figure for your records, ask us when you request a quote.

Payments

What deposit do you take and how can I pay?

For most kitchen orders we ask for a 30% deposit when you confirm your order. The remaining balance is due before delivery or collection, in line with your quote and order terms.

We accept payment by:

  • Card
  • Bank transfer

Your quote and order confirmation set out deposit and balance amounts inc. VAT and when each payment is due. If you have questions on timing, ask your designer or contact us when you book a consultation.

Do you offer kitchen finance?

Yes — we offer kitchen finance through Novuna so you can spread the cost of your project. There are several different plans available, including interest-free options and buy now, pay later arrangements, subject to status and approval.

Which plan suits you depends on your order value and how you prefer to pay. Your designer can talk through finance alongside your quote at a free design consultation or when you confirm your order.

Finance is provided by Novuna; terms, APR (where applicable), and eligibility criteria apply. We will point you to the right application once your kitchen specification and price are agreed.

Ranges & delivery

Which kitchen ranges are in stock, and how fast is delivery?

Which range you choose determines how quickly we can supply your kitchen:

  • In stock — Mercury, Moselle, and Horizon: same-day collection from our Harrogate site or 48-hour delivery across the UK, subject to stock and scheduling.
  • Special order — Orion, Linton, and Belmont: made to your specification; lead time is usually around 6 weeks, confirmed at consultation or when you order.
What if my kitchen start date is delayed?

Delays happen — building work slips, your fitter is not ready yet, or other trades need more time. If you have ordered from Revo but your start date moves, we can usually help.

We have a large warehouse at our Harrogate site where we can store your kitchen securely until you are ready for delivery. When your programme firms up, we deliver to you when you need it.

Tell us your expected timeline when you order or at a free design consultation so we can plan storage and delivery with you.

When should I order my kitchen?

There is no single “right” week to order — it depends on your build programme, whether your range is in stock or special order, and when your fitter can start. Many customers order well in advance of installation so everything is secured early.

Because we can store kitchens in our large Harrogate warehouse and deliver when you need them, ordering ahead often gives peace of mind if dates move. That is especially helpful while building work or fitting dates are still being finalised.

In-stock ranges can often be supplied quickly; special-order kitchens are usually around six weeks — see the ranges and delivery question above. To talk through your dates, book a free design consultation or request a quote.

Installation

Do you install kitchens or supply only?

Revo Kitchens is supply only — we supply German kitchen cabinetry, worktops, and appliances but do not provide kitchen fitters or carry out installation. You arrange installation with your own fitter, builder, or project manager.

If you are in our area, we can often pass on contact details for independent kitchen fitters around Harrogate, Leeds, and Bradford that previous customers have used on their projects — ask at a free design consultation. We do not employ these fitters; we simply share names customers have recommended.

Nationwide, we can still help with design, ordering, delivery timing, and coordinating your programme with your chosen installer.

How long does a kitchen installation usually take?

Revo supplies your kitchen; your fitter handles installation on site. Typical timing when using an experienced fitter:

  • Dry fit (cabinetry) — usually around one week on site for a standard kitchen: units, adjustments, and preparation for worktops (not the final quartz or porcelain surface).
  • Worktops — laser-templated after units are in; typically installed about 3 working days after the template visit.
  • Larger layouts, complex services, or remedial building work can extend the programme.

We are supplier only (no installation) — fitter contacts for Harrogate, Leeds, and Bradford are in the Installation section above. Quartz and porcelain lead times after template are in the Worktops section below.

Worktops

What types of worktops do you offer?
  • Laminate — practical and cost-effective for many kitchens.
  • Quartz — engineered stone; durable with a wide range of colours and patterns.
  • Porcelain — ultra-compact sintered surface; very hard with a contemporary finish.

Our kitchen cost calculator includes laminate and quartz. For porcelain pricing and samples, book a consultation or visit our showroom.

What is the difference between quartz and porcelain worktops?
  • Quartz — engineered stone (natural quartz with resin); excellent durability and consistent colours and patterns.
  • Porcelain — ultra-compact sintered surface; extremely hard, highly heat-resistant, often in slimmer profiles with a crisp, contemporary look.

Neither is inherently “better” — the right choice depends on your design, how you use your kitchen, and your budget. See both at our Harrogate showroom or discuss options in a free design consultation.

How are quartz and porcelain worktops priced?

Quartz and porcelain worktop packages include laser templating and professional fitting — your worktops are measured on site after cabinetry is in place, then manufactured and installed by our team.

Pricing is per slab on an all-inclusive basis — for example one slab, two slabs, and so on, depending on your kitchen layout. Each slab price typically includes:

  • Laser template and professional fitting
  • Cut-outs — hob cut-outs, undermount sink cut-outs with polishing, and other standard cut-outs required for your layout
  • Drainer grooves — where specified for your design
  • Double bevel edging and mitres
  • Upstands and related fabrication within your allocated slab(s)

In principle, whatever can be made from the slab(s) assigned to your project is included. Your designer will confirm slab count and scope on your quote — book a consultation for a tailored price.

How long after templating are quartz and porcelain worktops installed?

From the date of your laser template, allow typically 3 working days for quartz or porcelain worktops to be ready for installation. Exact dates are confirmed when your template is booked.

A common week-by-week example:

  • Monday — kitchen fitter starts cabinetry (dry fit).
  • Thursday — worktop template once units are in place.
  • Following Monday — worktop installation.

Timings can shift with bank holidays, site access, or slab availability. Your project coordinator will confirm dates at consultation or when you order.
